My baby girl recently turned two months - rewarding all my efforts of frequent late night feedings with one of her first smiles.
Interestingly, I got it by accident: I accidently brushed her upper lip. Clearly it tickled her!

I caught my reflection in a framed sketch I had drawn. They always say an artist shows up in every face they draw.

I created this photo to invite people to have coffee with me at a cafe where my illustrations were on display.

Photo taken at the Boston Aquarium last january when visited with my wife and 12 year old son. Took many pictures there but this one I really love. To me, it shows how nature can amaze us by it's simplicity.

I took this from my office on the 16th floor. We're in a nice old building where you can still open the windows, so I hauled one open to get a clear shot!

Sometimes you look up and just see it. Everything matched- sign, van, paint, iphone ad, sky, buildings. Perfect. 4th Avenue Brooklyn.
Happy New Year NPR! Thanks!

I'm a PhD student in sociology at the CUNY Graduate Center and look up at the Empire State Building every day when I go to and from class. On October 15th, it was particularly eye-catching: lit for Domestic Violence Awareness month, the building suffused the evening fog with shades of purple.

My boyfriend lives in LA and so I fly there or he flies here every two weeks so we can be together. This was last week when he took me to see the sun set in Malibu. He knows I love it. The sky was incredible that day.

Spent a wet, late December morning with my son at Castle Park in Chatham Township, NJ. Didn't expect to capture the ball in the shot.

The photo was taken is the Sustine Chapel. Apparently, there were sign everywhere saying you couldn't take pictures but somehow I missed them. I love it, not only because it's a gret masterpiece but because so few people have the picture.

I looked up from my iMac and saw what appeared to be a large bird land on my building's fire escape. I managed to get just one shot of a red-tailed hawk before it took off and was gone. It gives a new meaning to wild life in NYC.

My Best Selfie. Brooklyn Bridge Park...again.
I take lots of cell phone pix.
