WNYC is a media partner for ImageNation Outdoors. An open-air film and music festival, open to all and held in various New York City parks throughout the summer. The annual festival targets community residents, who yearn for holistic portrayals of Blacks and Latinos in film and media. IFMF features films by and/or about Black and Latino people worldwide, live music performances, and DJs. Launched in 2002 with one screening for 300 people, the festival now draws nearly 10,000 participants (averaging close to 1,500 people per screening).

WNYC is a media partner for the 8th annual Afro-Punk Festival. Featuring performances by Erykah Badu, Gym Class Heroes, Janelle Monae, Das Racist, Skindred, Toro Y Moi, Reggie Watts and many more.
