If you went to see the South Street Seaport exhibit about human bodies and regretted it, you can get a refund for the price of the tickets.

That's the result of a settlement with New York's Attorney General, who's been investigating allegations that the cadavers used in the exhibit belonged originally to executed Chinese prisoners.

Attorney General Andrew Cuomo found no proof that the bodies were prisoners, but the group that mounted the exhibit couldn't provide documentation showing the origin of the bodies.

Premier Exhibitions says they obtained unidentified and unclaimed bodies from the Chinese Bureau of Police.

The show will remain open, but its curators are required to provide documentation of origin and consent for any additional bodies or parts it displays. They also have to post warnings that some bodies may have come from executed Chinese prisoners.
