Five Convicted in Fort Dix Plot

A jury has convicted five men of conspiring to kill soldiers at Fort Dix, in New Jersey.

That's after five days of deliberations. The men were Muslim immigrants originally from the former Yugoslavia, Turkey and elsewhere.

Sohail Mohammad is an immigration attorney in New Jersey, he says he and other local Muslims closely followed the trial.

MOHAMMAD: They tried their case. They tried to put their proofs in and the jurors have spoken. And they have given a decision and I think we as Americans ought to respect the decision.

REPORTER: The prosecution's case hinged on evidence obtained by government informants.

But the defense said the informants instigated the plot and were not credible. The men could face life in prison.
