New York, NY —
The International Freedom Center has submitted a revised propsal meant to convince the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation to allow them to stay at the World Trade Center site.
REPORTER: A small group of family members had complained that the center would present anti-American exhibits. But museum chairman Tom Bernstein says the Freedom Center will complement the memorial.
BERNSTEIN: I would say that all of us who are participating in this process, particularly the public officials and the governing bodies here, are the trustees for the future and doing that you have to design a plan that will stand the test of time, that will be relevant not only today but in the future.
REPORTER: The report details the visitor experience to the Freedom Center starting with an exhibit about the world's response to the 9-11 attacks. There is also a film about freedom in America, a grand concourse over-looking the sight, and small freedom-specific galleries.
