Police are investigating a number of incidents of flag burning in Brooklyn. Residents of seven homes in Marine Park found their American flags were burned. Police are currently investigating the incident as a case of criminal mischief.

REPORTER: Michael Campbell, a former soldier, says he was going to photograph his daughter in front of the flag today, for her graduation from pre-school only to find it "burned, melted and charred."

CAMPBELL: I'm very disppointed, very upset because this is a time of war and patroitism. These things shouldn't really happen.

REPORTER: Campbell says he plans buy a new American flag today.
