Send us your poems!

Books at the New York Public Library

April is Poetry Month, and we are marking it on Morning Edition with a month of your poems on our air.

The themes this month are literary: Tell us about your world, but through the lens of genres. We'll announce one theme a week throughout the month.

Our theme for the third week of April is "SCIENCE FICTION AND FANTASY." Take us to a different world, or riff on what’s happening in this one. Bonus points if you keep it local!

You can email us your poem at yourvoice@wnyc.org. Please send us the text of your poem, as well as a voice memo. Record yourself on your phone, reading your poem somewhere quiet. Shorter poems are preferred, though we can also use excerpts if you need to go longer. Please make sure to say your name and town, borough or neighborhood in the recording. We might play your poem on the air.
