The New York-based rock group Living Colour rocketed to fame in 1988 after a CBGB audience member named Mick Jagger helped secure them a record deal. They're back with their first album in half a decade.

MTV airplay of the smash hit "Cult of Personality" helped put black rock musicians back in the spotlight in 1988 and earned Living Colour a Grammy. The band is back with their fifth album The Chair In The Doorway. It's also the first one they've released in almost six years. They discuss the lasting impact of Hurrican Katrina, being featured in Guitar Hero, and how they're dealing with reinventing themselves as an indie band (albeit one with a platnium record) and playing to new fans whose initial experience and perception with them is with the 20 year old YouTube video for Cult of Personality.
