The 33 Places You Can Get in Free Via Your NY Library Card

A stroll through Brooklyn Botanic Garden will be free once a year, thanks to Culture Pass.

The Brooklyn Children's Museum, the Louis Armstrong House in Queens, the Society of Illustrators in Manhattan and Wave Hill in the Bronx are among the 33 institutions offering once-a-year free admission to New Yorkers with a Culture Pass, a new initiative launched by the New York, Brooklyn and Queens Public Libraries.

A Culture Pass can be obtained online at culturepass.nyc; all you need is the barcode and pin number for your library card. There, you can browse for passes by date or venue, and download or print your individual pass.

Passes are available for library card holders age 13 or older. Some institutions, like the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, will offer free admission for up to a party of four.
