Review "Chinese Democracy" for Soundcheck

Chinese DemocracyFifteen years. Thirteen million dollars. One Axl Rose. This Sunday, the once-mythical Guns ‘n’ Roses album “Chinese Democracy” will finally see the light of day. (Well, the official version. It leaked like an antique dinghy.)

But was it worth the wait? YOU TELL US!

As of this morning, the full album is streaming for free on the Guns 'n' Roses MySpace page. We want a select handful of Soundcheck listeners to listen to the album and tell us what they think.

Don't just give us a thumbs-up or a thumbs-down. We want to know why you feel the way you do . You should also 1) single out specific songs and 2) tell us what you think of the 'new' Guns 'n' Roses.

You've heard of crowdsourcing? We're calling this 'criticsourcing.'

Send your reviews to soundcheck @ wnyc.org (delete the spaces). Please include contact information, like an email address or phone number.

We'll use some reviews on our show during our Soundcheck Smackdown on Tuesday, Nov. 25, when Lizzy Goodman of Blender magazine and rock writer Sean Manning (“Rock and Roll Cage Match”) square off on what might be the album of the decade. Or not.

THE FINE PRINT: By submitting your review, you are a) granting Soundcheck permission to use your comments on air and b) asserting that it is your original work. Your review remains your intellectual property.
