D.A. Morgenthau Endorses Cyrus Vance Jr.

New York, NY —

Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau is endorsing Cyrus Vance Jr. as his would-be successor. Vance, who served as a prosecutor under Morgenthau in the 1980's is currently in private practice. Morgenthau says Vance is tenacious, fair and respected by his peers.

MORGENTHAU: The next district attorney should know the criminal justice system from both sides. I support Cy Vance for election this year because he is the best qualified by his experience and his views to keep it the best.

Also running in the Democratic primary are former state Supreme Court Justice Leslie Crocker Snyder and former Assistant District Attorney Richard Aborn.
