New York, NY —
A Yankees fan who claims 'nature called' during the 7th inning stretch singing of God Bless America, was ejected from the stadium by two police officer for trying to leave his seat. Chris Dunn with the NYCLU has taken up the case, and says police have no business enforcing a team policy.
DUNN: Even though it's privately owned, the law restricts what the Yankees can make people do when they go to Yankee Stadium and the law prohibits the Yankees from discriminating against people on the basis of things like their political beliefs or their religious beliefs.
The fan, Bradford Campeau-Laurion filed the federal lawsuit against New York City and the Yankees. A spokeswoman says the city law office has no comment. A Yankees representative did not immediately return a call for comment.
