New York, NY —

Vendors lined 125th street today, hawking t-shirts, hats, sweatshirts and calendars with President Obama's likeness.

At each table, the salesmen and women took credit for original designs. Lawrence Harris, held up his 10 dollar t-shirt and read it's slogan.

HARRIS: Rosa Parks sat so Dr. Martin Luther King could walk. Dr. Martin Luther King walked so that Barack Obama could run. Barack Obama ran so that our kids can fly that's what the shirt says in the back.

REPORT: Harris and other vendors said business was good.

Their customers were mostly people who gathered to watch the Inauguration on a large screen in front of the Adam Clayton Powell state office building and the nearby Apollo Theatre.

Many said they took the day off from work and kept kids home from school to be there.
