Awaiting Word from State Senator in Charge of Investigation

The head of the state senate's investigations committee is expected to comment this hour on the state trooper scandal. Republican George Winner could disclose plans to investigate whether Governor Spitzer was aware that two of his top aides were using state police to track Senate majority leader Joe Bruno.

REPORTER: Meanwhile, the governor has turned over e-mails and other documents to the state Ethics Commission, which is conducting its own investigation. Those same documents were also turned over to the Attorney General's and Inspector General's offices.

REPORTER: Attorney General Cuomo has issued a report saying that though the governor's aides broke no laws they misused the state police.
