Firefighter Killed in Williamsburg Blaze

Fire officials say they believe a cigarette caused a Brooklyn blaze that led to the death of a firefighter who fell off the roof.

REPORTER: 23-year-old firefighter Daniel Pujdak climbed up a ladder with heavy equipment. He was preparing to cut a hole in the four-story building's roof to vent the smoke, when he apparently slipped.

REPORTER: Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta says the fire was confined to a window area in a brick building that's used by artists in the Williamsburg neighborhood. Pujdak had been a firefighter for about 2 years.
