New York, NY —
State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has tapped longtime good government activist Blair Horner to oversee a new public integrity initiative. WNYC's Elaine Rivera reports.
After 25 years as a lobbyist for the non-partisan New York Public Interest Research Group, Horner has decided to continue his reform efforts at the state attorney general's office. He will oversee Project Sunlight, a comprehensive Internet database.
The database will track elected officials and their links to lobbyists, donors, special interests and state contracts. It'll also be available to the public. Horner, an outspoken critic of New York state government, says he took the post because he wants to restore the public's confidence in government. For WNYC, I'm Elaine Rivera
