Special Elections in Brooklyn, Staten Island

REPORTER: There's less than a week left before a special election for 2 open city council seats and candidates in Staten Island and Brooklyn are working to get out the vote. 10 council hopefuls in central Brooklyn's 41st district gathered earlier this week at an informational forum for voters. Most candidates already play active roles in their diverse community. One forum attendee, Jerry Bennett, says he wants to vote for someone who cares about the immigrant community - but not to the exclusion of other interests.

BENNETT: I want someone that is going to address the entire district - there are other issues and other things I want to know what are the children going to do - those issues.

REPORTER: Staten Island and Brooklyn hold their special elections next Tuesday, February 20th.
