Spitzer: Gay Marriage Illegal in N.Y.

New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer issued an opinion Wednesday saying gay marriage is illegal in New York, as the law currently stands. That isn't preventing fifty couples in New York City from showing up at the city clerk's office today, asking for marriage licenses. And it isn't stopping New Paltz Mayor Jason West, arraigned last night on 19 charges of solemnizing a marriage without a license, from saying he'll preside at more nuptials this weekend. WNYC's Andrea Bernstein reports.
