As the deadline for a final design for the 1776 foot tall freedom tower approaches, discussions between its architects have been on again, off again. Yesterday both men, master planner Daniel Libesind and Larry Silverstein's architect, David Childs, joined Governor Pataki at a ceremony marking the construction of the tenant floors of the new Seven World Trade Center. Faced with reporters questions, both men looked strained as they tried to express optimism.
