The 2004 state budget now has the force of law. Both Houses of the State Legislature easily overrode Governor Pataki's 119 budget vetos, even as the Governor said would veto the New York City aid package. As WNYC's Andrea Bernstein reports from Albany, this year's budget contained a rare departure from the usual Albany script, and a lot of business as usual.
