Limbaugh Draws Heat for Racial Remark About Paterson

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh is raising eyebrows following a racial remark he made about Gov. David Paterson.

A Limbaugh caller incorrectly told the radio host that Paterson would have the power to pick someone to fill the seat vacated by Democratic Congressman Eric Massa, who abruptly resigned following allegations of sexual misconduct.  Limbaugh says that would mean Paterson, who's black, would be a "massah" for the first time in his life.

Paterson's office declined comment.

Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer says Limbaugh's remark was despicable, and he's urging New Yorkers to call stations that carry Limbaugh's program and demand he be taken off the air.
