WNYC reports on the incoming results of 1949 elections of interest to the New York metropolitan area. Reports come in from Syracuse, The Hotel Astor, Times Square, New York City Police Department headquarters, The Commodore Hotel, The Hotel Roosevelt, and from WNYC headquarters in the Municipal Building.

Grover Whalen speaks at WNYC studios about all the hustle and bustle and young people running about. He also comments on how he never would have believed it back when WNYC started since they were told all the steel in the Brooklyn Bridge would have prevented anyone from hearing such a broadcast.
