Part of March of Dimes.

The National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, originally founded by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1938 to combat polio, is an organization that works to fight birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. In the 1940s and 1950s, WNYC regularly aired programs and public service announcements urging the public to donate to the March of Dimes. This collection also includes reports on the development of the Salk Vaccine.
