It used to be that candidates would call themselves “pro-choice” or “pro-life” on abortion.
But now as the issue is debated in the run-up to the midterm elections, some New Jersey congressional hopefuls who want to appeal to more than the stalwarts on either side of the abortion issue are having a hard time explaining their positions.
