Abortion Rights Are Protected in New York, But That Doesn't Always Mean Access

The attack on abortion rights in some parts of the country has been mobilizing activists to defend Roe v. Wade. But while in New York, the right to an abortion is not under attack, many people still face major barriers to getting the services they need.

Vanessa Rios is the co-director of the volunteer organization New York Abortion Access Fund. She joined WNYC's Morning Edition host Michael Hill to talk about why, and how the government could better help people get the care that they're entitled to under the law.
