The probe into misconduct allegations against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo may be coming to a close.
The governor was interviewed by investigators from the state attorney general's office over the weekend, according to multiple reports. Several women have accused the governor of inappropriate behavior and unwanted touching. Cuomo has apologized but denied any wrongdoing.
Wall Street Journal reporter Jimmy Vielkind says Saturday's interview is likely a sign that the attorney general's findings may be out soon.
"We're starting to hear signals that given the governor's interview this week, that the report could be made public sometime later this month or next month," he said. "People in Albany are waiting."
Cuomo is also facing an impeachment inquiry in the state legislature that could result in his removal from office.
Vielkind spoke with WNYC's Morning Edition host Michael Hill.
