Amid Coronavirus Pandemic, The Bronx Suffers NYC's Slowest EMS Response Times

New York City has been dealing with a record number of 911 calls since the coronavirus outbreak. On March 30, the the New York City Fire Department said it received over 6,500 calls, a record-breaking number. Since then, daily calls have dipped to less than 5,000 per day, which has improved emergency services' response times. Still, service in the Bronx is still lagging behind.
