Andy Serkis, Andrew Garfield & Claire Foy On 'Breathe'

Actor Andy Serkis is known for his career-defining roles as Gollum from the "Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" movies, and Caesar in the new "Planet of the Apes" movies. Now, he's debuting as a director with his new movie “Breathe.” The film stars Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy, and tells the true love story of Robin and Diana Cavendish, whose lives were turned upside down when Robin was paralyzed with polio at the age of 28 in 1958. The couple refused to keep Robin confined to a hospital bed and looked for solutions that would allow them live a full life together with their son.
"Breathe" opens Oct. 13 at the Lincoln Square 13 (1998 Broadway, between W 67th and 68th St.) and the Angelika Film Center (18 W Houston St., at Mercer St.).
