Are Your Doctors Hearing You?

Dr. Danielle Ofri, an associate professor of medicine at New York University School of Medicine who cared for patients at Bellevue Hospital for over two decades, joins us to discuss her new book What Patients Say, What Doctors Hear. She argues that doctor-patient conversation remains the single most powerful diagnostic tool. Dr. Ofri examines the divide between patients, who are often anxious to convey their symptoms and “make their case,” and doctors, who are under pressure to be efficient, multitask while patients speak, and often miss important points.

Dr. Danielle Ofri will be speaking at Barnes and Noble on 82nd St. and Broadway on Wednesday, February 8th at 7:00pm. For more information, click here.
