Ask Governor Murphy: On Recruiting the 76ers and Smoking in Casinos

Gov. Phil Murphy is pushing for an $800 million tax break to lure the Philadelphia 76ers to Camden because he believes it's the kind of state investment that will help all residents in the low-income city.

"This is an arena just north of the Ben Franklin Bridge, right in the middle of a community," Murphy said. "And it is more than an arena. It is housing. It's affordable housing. It's mixed use, meaning office, retail, restaurants, bars."

"Ask Governor Murphy" airs live the second Wednesdays of most months, depending on schedule availability. Murphy next returns to WNYC on Oct. 9.
