Senator Elizabeth Warren made her campaign debut alongside presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton on Monday, in a swing-state event designed to unify the base, energize voters and bash Donald Trump. The event also fueled hopes for some that Clinton might choose the Senator as her running mate.
Edward Isaac-Dovere, Senior White House Reporter for POLITICO, spoke about the possibility of a Warren VP nomination.
"I don't think there needs to be much of an audition for Elizabeth Warren. If Clinton chooses Warren, she knows what she's getting, which is someone who has a feisty presence and someone who is not a shrinking violet when it comes to pushing for things that she believes in."
Warren's character and strong beliefs about economic justice make her attractive to some voters, but traditionally the vice president plays a more subordinate role.
Isaac-Dovere warned, "When Clinton makes this decision she has to think about not only who she is going to campaign with, but who she is going to live with for the next 4-8 years."
