Next year, the MTA’s newest subway cars will start hitting the tracks. They‘ll feature the latest bells and whistles, and replace some of the oldest train cars running on the lettered lines. As WNYC’s Stephen Nessen reports, they’re also replacing a style of seating as old as the subway system itself.
