
The heavy rain continues to pour in southeast Texas and southwestern Louisiana today. For an update on how the region is fairing, WNYC's Shumita Basu and Brian Lehrer spoke with Eddie Robinson, a former WNYC host who is currently a morning news anchor at Houston Public Media. In 2012, he reported on Sandy for WNYC.
"Imagine you have superstorm Sandys in each borough," he said, "all happening at the same time, for about five consecutive days. That's what Hurricane Harvey has felt like in the city of Houston."
