Cuomo to Meet Trump over Clashing on DMV Data

Last week, the Department of Homeland Security said New Yorkers couldn't enroll or re-enroll in Trusted Traveler programs -- because the federal authorities were being denied access to state DMV records. After initially rebuffing the Trump Administration, Cuomo said yesterday they CAN have the driving records, after all -- but ONLY those for individual applicants for Global Entry and the other programs that allow travelers to avoid long border security lines. That's not good enough, Administration officials say -- they need FULL access to the motor vehicle database to do their job. Cuomo says he's taking his case to the president himself ... though he's not optimistic he'll prevail.
