DSNY Commissioner on curbside composting in Brooklyn and beyond

Starting next week, weekly pick up of food scraps and yard waste will start in Brooklyn. The city's curbside composting program is already in place in Queens; the Bronx and Staten Island will see it roll out in March, and curbside collection comes to Manhattan in October of next year.
