Dedication of the Mexican Pavilion

Dedication ceremonies for the Mexican Pavilon at the New York World's Fair, May 27, 1939.

The Mexican Pavilion is dedicated at the 1939 World's Fair in the Court of Peace at the World's Fair Grounds in New York City.
Julius C. Holmes, administrative assistant in charge of protocol to Grover Whalen, the president of the Fair, presides over the ceremony.

The Speakers include:
Raphael De La Colina, Council General from Mexico to the Fair, Charles Crawford, Assistant United States Commissioner General to the Fair, Luciano Cubli, Chief of the Department of Civic Action for New York City, Mr. Holmes, Mr. Whalen, and Mexican pilot Francisco Sarabia. Sarabia had recently broken a record established by Amelia Earhart. The Ambassador of Mexico to the United States sends his regrets.


After a 10 second gap, additional audio present on the 3rd disc is included. It features upcoming programming, missing persons notices, advertisements/testimonials, and music.
