Mayor de Blasio Talks Blizzard Clean-Up; Plus Your #SnowedIn Stories
The weekend blizzard dropped around 30 inches of soft, easy-to-shovel (thankfully) snow.
Mayor Bill de Blasio called in from the Woodside, Queens, where he was out assessing the streets. He called the city's efforts to plow, clear, and ensure safe transportation "a great city-wide performance," but he also said they're working hard to get the streets in better shape by the end of the day.
The mayor reminds everyone: alternate side parking is suspended for the entire week, so please don't try to dig out your car by depositing snow onto the streets. Leave your car where it is, and let the sun do its work to melt it away.
Call in and tell us: did your block get plowed? How high are your snow drifts? What's the word from your dig out?
And send us your pictures and updates on Twitter @BrianLehrer using the hashtag #SnowedIn.
