DNC Tuesday: Millennials Get 'Berned'

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) delivers remarks on the first day of the Democratic National Convention.

Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian, hosts of the show "The Young Turks" on Current TV, talk about the frustrations for pro-Sanders millennial voters expressed last night at the Democratic National Convention.

"Millennial voters are extremely upset," said Kasparian. "They feel like they've been given illusion of choice."

Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) reviews the highlights of his speech at the DNC last night, and talks about Donald Trump, who took to Twitter to insult Booker.

"I don't think we have to personally demean people in order to have policy disagreements," said Booker.

Tim Ryan, U.S. Representative for Ohio's 13th congressional district, talks about how speeches reframe how we look at the election and key issues. At the convention, he said, more and more people are asking "do you want Donald Trump to win?"

Steve Fulop, mayor of Jersey City, joins us from the convention center in Philadelphia to talk about the stakes for his City during this election and the new Glass-Steagall bill which Bernie Sanders pushed for.

"He's moved the party in a positive direction and this is one component of it," said Fulop.
