DOJ to Review Local Police Oversight

Attorney General Jeff Sessions calls on a reporter during a news conference at the Justice Department in Washington, Thursday, March 2, 2017.

Sheryl Gay Stolberg, domestic affairs correspondent for The New York Times, Jonathan M. Smith, executive director of the Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs and former Obama Justice Department attorney, and Chris Burbank, director of Law Enforcement Engagement Center for Policing Equity, talk about the memo from Attorney General Sessions ordering a review of Department of Justice reform agreements with local police departments.

"[Sessions] is ordering this review without having even read the sentinel reports issued by the department he runs," said Smith. "He should read the Ferguson report... take a look at the Chicago report."
