Political Obfuscation and the 9th GOP Debate

Republican presidential candidates (L-R) Ohio Governor John Kasich, Jeb Bush, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Donald Trump, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Ben Carson during a CBS Debate February 13, 2016 in S.C.

Molly Ball, political reporter for The Atlantic, rounded up the latest political news, starting with the politics of obfuscation after the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.

Ball went on to discuss the ninth Republican debate over the weekend, which she noted went remarkably well for most of the candidates (except for maybe Ted Cruz, who was repeatedly called a liar by other people on the stage).

There's a nightmare scenario taking shape on the Republican stage right now, said Ball. All of the candidates look viable, so voters aren't abandoning any of them to coalesce around one alternative to Trump.
