Exploring The Constitution's Flaws

Cynthia Levinson and Sanford Levinson discuss their new book "Fault Lines in the Constitution: The Framers, Their Fights, and the Flaws that Affect Us Today."

Award-winning children’s book author Cynthia Levinson, and her husband and constitutional law professor Sanford Levinson join us to discuss their new book, Fault Lines in the Constitution: The Framers, Their Fights, and the Flaws that Affect Us Today. The two revisit how certain features like the Electoral College, gerrymandering and the Senate came to be included in the Constitution. In 2017, these features have presented new challenges that could not have been imagined in 1787. The Levinsons look at why they have become problematic, and what possible solutions are available.
