Michael Hill: Hey, Brian, I recall we have some unfinished business.
Brian Lehrer: Why? Michael Hill, I believe we do. You're ready to do this?
Michael Hill: Brian, I was born ready.
Brian Lehrer: All right. It's National Poetry Month, the last weekday. Let's see what you got.
Michael Hill: Hey, hey, hey, it's time to wheel and deal. Start your day right with your host, Michael Chill. It's Poetry Month. It's time to get real, time to drop some rhyme. Who can match my skills?
Brian Lehrer: Hold up. I didn't want to fight you, Michael. I'm Brian Lehrer, and I don't want to light you up like the callers on my line. I'll be insightful and brief. Long time, first time, do you need some relief?
Michael Hill: You can wrangle a call, but you got nothing, Lehrer. Throwing minor league rhymes at this major league player. I rise before the sun with the headlines you need, and I can see you need the beauty rest, so go back to sleep.
Brian Lehrer: Oh, you think you're so tough with your early bird style. Here on live radio, things can get pretty wild. You couldn't handle it, Hill. With my insight and grace, I could do this in my sleep, and I'm going to put you in your place.
Michael Hill: All bark and no bite, I can tell that you're bluffing. You're a whole lot of talk about nothing. Newscaster rhyme master, don't make me repeat. You'll be begging for mercy when I'm done with this beat.
Brian Lehrer: Oh, I beg for mercy. I give up. I surrender. You win, Michael.
Michael Hill: [laughs] We both win, brother. Thank you, Brian.
[laughter]
