The federal response to NYC's migrant crisis

New York has been grappling with the unexpected influx of asylum seeking immigrants for months. During this time, Governor Kathy Hochul and New York City mayor Eric Adams have made repeated pleas to the federal government for help.

The Biden Administration has answered some of those appeals.
