A team of (sweaty) data news reporters went to every subway station in Manhattan south of Central Park (and some in Brooklyn & Queens) yesterday to find the hottest and coolest stations. WNYC data news producer Jenny Ye reports on what they found.

@BrianLehrer Could depth of station be a contributing factor? I noticed the F 63rd station wasn't polled...it's probably boiling down there!

@BrianLehrer @datanews 72nd street at Bway: 1 2 3 Train platform is hottest I've ever encountered. There must be generators heating it.

Daniel says it’s so hot: …I had an excuse to manspread …I took a new Tinder pic …a bikram yoga class broke out on the platform (add yours)

So hot that I ran to the market for eggs, flour and sugar and when I got home, had a cake. @BrianLehrer
