Obama Emphasizes Diplomacy Over Bloodlust in Fight Against ISIS

President Obama spoke about the United States' approach to battling ISIS while visiting Malaysia on November 22, 2015.

President Obama has been criticized for his tone during his first live address after the Paris attacks, with some claiming he came across as "unaggressive."

David Sanger, national security correspondent for The New York Times, and Gideon Rose, editor of Foreign Affairs magazine and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, discuss evolving diplomatic efforts from Obama and around the world to ease tensions in the Middle East.

Rose also explains why he thinks Obama is reluctant to declare a no-fly zone, as Hillary Clinton has proposed. Rose says this morning's shoot-down of a Russian warplane over what Turkey claims is Turkish airspace illustrates the dangers of establishing no-fly zones.
