Former Connecticut Gov. weighs in on Texas mass shooting at elementary school

The horrific shooting in a Texas elementary school Tuesday had some familiar elements for the families that lost children in the mass shooting at Sandy Hook elementary in Newtown, Connecticut in 2012.

That shooting took the lives of 20 children and six adults. Former Gov. Dan Malloy led the state during the shooting. He spoke to WNYC Morning Edition host Michael Hill.
