
Since his direction of "Titicut Follies" in 1967, Frederick Wiseman has gone on to both direct and produce films casting prominent social institutions, including police stations, mental hospitals, the juvenile courts and the welfare system. His latest documentary, “In Jackson Heights,” portrays the neighborhood where you can hear 167 languages and is home to immigrants from Colombia, Mexico, Pakistan, Peru, Italy, and India. Event: New York City Councilman Daniel Dromm, who has represented Jackson Heights and Elmhurst since 2010, will be introducing the film, "In Jackson Heights," at the 7:50 p.m. screenings on Friday, Nov. 13 and Monday, Nov 16 at Film Forum.
