
The program open with triumphant music. Announcer Rex Benware provides the show introduction on its second anniversary which includes welcoming Ruth Eleanor Howard, founder, publisher and editor of The American Dancer magazine.
Howard congratulates host Irving Deakin on the success of the radio program Music and Ballet as well as the help it has given the world of dance.
Announcer Rex Benware plays a short excerpt from a recording of Leonide Massine speaking, from an earlier program (no. 10) and reads his congratulatory telegram. Ruth Chanova (Ruth Kahmann) is introduced and speaks briefly and reads and translates a congratulatory telegram (in French) from Bronislava Nijinska.
John V. L. Hogan, the president and co-founder of WQXR is introduced and speaks briefly about radio's first program for the ballet and its music. Hogan introduces Elliott M. Sanger, vice president and co-founder of WQXR, who talks briefly about the Music and Ballet program and he notes that it was a radical departure for radio that has succeeded. He also says that this is the first time he and Hogan have appeared together on the radio.
Benware introduces host Irving Deakin who thanks Hogan, Sanger and the WQXR listeners for their support. He also comments on the radio premiere of the music for Massine's ballet Gay Parisienne in its entirety. Deakin answers the ballet's critics by saying, "a little healthy vulgarity is at times good for all of us." Music from the ballet is played accompanied by Deakin's commentary. Closing remarks.
