- The Metropolitan Opera is offering free tickets to furloughed workers though the end of the month.
- JBJ Soul Kitchen in Red Bank, New Jersey (that's Bon Jovi’s restaurant) is offering free meals for workers.
- Rutgers University will postpone term bills for any children of furloughed federal employees. (Note: CUNY/SUNY and Connecticut state colleges are doing this as well)
- The “Neighbor to Neighbor” food pantry in Greenwich is assisting furloughed employees.
- Umberto’s Pizzeria in Fair Haven, New Jersey, is collecting food for the impacted Coast Guard employees.
- Masbia Soup Kitchen network is offering free groceries and hot dinners to Federal Workers. It's open from 2-6 p.m., Sunday through Thursday.
- New York Common Pantry is providing bags of food to federal employees.
- Hackensack Meridian of New Jersey is waiving co-pays and deductibles for furloughed federal workers who are coming into the emergency room.
- Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, New Jersey, is waiving co-pays for Emergency Room visits.
