How a Seven-Minute Conversation Can Help With Information Overload

When's the last time you had a long, meaningful conversation with someone?
If you're signed up for Note to Self's Infomagical project, you'll hopefully have one today.
Manoush Zomorodi, host and managing editor of WNYC’s Note to Self, talks about today's challenge: have a 7-minute conversation with someone about something you read/heard/watched.
Manoush and Brian took on the challenge and had a 7-minute conversation with a listener (and Infomagical participant), Claudia in Morristown, New Jersey. She teaches at the graduate level in the museum field, and wanted to talk about what she sees as a lack of enthusiasm from her students -- and a dependence on their devices.
"When we have a 10-minute break in class, they all pull their phones out," she said.
The conversation with Claudia went so well they blew past the 7-minute goal -- it wound up lasting 10 minutes!
